At Cequest we are passionate about Climate Action with an emphasis on practical methods to accelerate large scale project adoption of the latest scientific developments in Ocean technology, in line with the SDGs and Terra Carta.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. The 2021 released Terra Carta "Earth Charter" also encourages all businesses to adopt sustainable practices by 2030.
Countries and companies are increasingly committing to Net Zero emissions. More than 100 countries have announced to cut their greenhouse gas emissions to “net zero” in coming decades to help curb man-made climate change. The target has also been embraced by companies, states and cities wanting to help stop the planet from getting unsustainably warmer.
As a for-purpose company, Cequest is an ethically driven business which provides support and funding to not-for-profits focused on research and educational activity aligned to the field of ocean carbon sequestration.

Projects for Seaweed Farms and Fisheries
Cequest works with operating aquaculture businesses to assess and project manage viable carbon abatement projects. We also provide carbon offset investors/buyers with the highest level of assurance that carbon sequestration products and services are genuine carbon abatement solutions, hence mitigating climate change. Whether a project is at a seaweed farm, mangrove forest or on a fishing vessel, our experts provide practical solutions that won't distract from commercial operations.
Blue Carbon Projects for Mangrove Forestation and Wetland Creation
Wetland vegetation (seagrass, mangroves, saltmarsh) occupy only two per cent of the world's seabed area, but are responsible for 50 per cent of the carbon transfer to ocean sediments (source: CSIRO). Our team can assess, design then project manage carbon abatement projects through a risk based lens, with a purpose of optimising the carbon sequestration potential of the site.
